APERITIF IDEAS

with sweet and fruity Bordeaux white wines

sunset

Bord’O Sunset

Fresh, vibrant, lightly sweet — rum & sweet Bordeaux wine structure

Sweet Bordeaux wine brings natural softness and aromatic depth, rounding out the sharpness of lime and elegantly balancing the strength of the rum.

The result: a Daiquiri that is more complex, more elegant, less “harsh” and more indulgent.

Ingredients

  • 6 cl sweet Bordeaux white wine
  • 5 cl white agricole rum
  • 2 cl fresh lime juice
  • A dash of simple syrup

    Glass

Coupe / Daiquiri coupe

Recipe
1. In a shaker, add 6 cl sweet Bordeaux wine, 5 cl white agricole rum and 2 cl freshly squeezed lime juice.
2. Add a dash of simple syrup (5–7 ml).
3. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds to chill and emulsify.
4. Double strain into a coupe.
5. Garnish with a thin slice of lime and a sprig of fresh mint.

Tip: Adjust the syrup according to the sweetness of the wine — some sweet Bordeaux wines are already generous in sugar.

Orange

Bord'O ORANGE Kiss

Round, fruity, aromatic — soft citrus & ginger

The result: a warm, rounded cocktail, more sophisticated than a simple juice-and-liqueur mix.

  • 5 cl fresh orange juice
  • 2 cl triple sec
  • 1 cl ginger syrup
  • Ice

Ananas

Bord’O Pineapple Split

Fruity, soft, tropical, approachable

The off-dry Bordeaux wine gently softens the pineapple while maintaining enough freshness to keep balance, offering a smooth, pleasant texture without heaviness.

The result: an elegant tropical cocktail — not syrupy, harmonious and easy to drink.

Ingredients

  • 10 cl off-dry Bordeaux white wine
  • 6 cl pineapple juice
  • 2 cl lime juice (juice of half a lime)
  • 1 cl ginger syrup
  • Ice
  • Garnish: pineapple chunk on a pick + pineapple leaf

Ginger

Bord'O Ginger Pop

Dry, ultra-fresh, ginger-forward

Dry Bordeaux white wine brings crisp, citrusy freshness that lifts the ginger beer, creating a lighter and more elegant profile than with a spirit base.

The result: a Mule-style cocktail that is more refined, less “strong alcohol,” more refreshing and clearly identifiable as a wine-based cocktail.

Ingredients

  • 12 cl dry Bordeaux white wine
  • 10 cl ginger beer
  • 2 cl fresh lime juice (half a lime)
  • Garnish: mint sprig + dried lime slice

    Glass

Mule mug or Highball

Recipe
1. Fill the glass with ice.
2. Pour in 12 cl well-chilled dry white wine.
3. Add 2 cl freshly squeezed lime juice.
4. Stir gently with a bar spoon.
5. Top with 10 cl ginger beer, pouring slowly to preserve carbonation.
6. Garnish with a mint sprig and a slice of dried lime.

Tip: Lightly clap the mint between your hands before garnishing to release the essential oils.

passion

Bord'O Exotic

Exotic, ultra-fresh, zesty tonic

Dry white wine brings a clean acidity that supports the exotic flavors and prevents the cocktail from becoming too sweet, delivering a fresh, perfectly controlled tension.

The result: an exotic cocktail that remains light, vibrant and perfectly balanced.

Ingredients

  • 12 cl dry Bordeaux white wine
  • 5 cl tropical juice or passion fruit juice
  • ½ fresh passion fruit
  • 3 cl fresh lemon juice
  • Tonic water
  • Ice
  • Garnish: quarter passion fruit + mint

    Glass

Highball

Recipe
1. In a shaker, pour 12 cl dry white wine and 5 cl tropical or passion fruit juice.
2. Scoop out half a passion fruit and add it.
3. Add 3 cl freshly squeezed lemon juice.
4. Add ice and shake vigorously to lightly break the seeds and extract aroma.
5. Strain into a glass filled with ice (single strain to keep a few decorative seeds).
6. Top with tonic water.
7. Garnish with half a passion fruit resting on the ice and a sprig of mint.

Tip: Don’t overdo the tonic — 4–6 cl is enough to preserve the aromas.

bubble berry

Bord’O Bubble Berry

Light, sparkling, red berry notes

Crémant de Bordeaux brings fine bubbles and crisp freshness that lighten the strawberry liqueur, creating a lively, delicately fruity sparkling cocktail.

The result: a sparkling cocktail that is indulgent yet refined — perfect as an aperitif.

Ingredients

  • 3 cl strawberry liqueur
  • A light dash of ginger syrup (homemade if possible)
  • Brut Crémant de Bordeaux
  • Garnish: strawberry slice on the rim / thyme

    Glass

Flute

Recipe
1. In a flute glass, pour 3 cl strawberry liqueur.
2. Add a light dash of ginger syrup (about 5 ml).
3. Slowly top up with well-chilled Brut Crémant de Bordeaux.
4. Garnish with a thin slice of strawberry and, if desired, a small sprig of thyme.

Tip: Ginger syrup should remain subtle — it’s an enhancer, not the dominant flavor.
